Germany lifts most COVID-19 travel restrictions

Germany lifts most COVID-19 travel restrictions

Trade fairs are just around the corner! As access constraints to Germany have been lifted, international exhibitions are now to resume with no COVID-19 requirements needed. Here are further details that you have to know while gearing up for the upcoming trade fairs in Germany:

Germany no longer requires proof of vaccination, proof of convalescence, proof of testing or any proof of trade fair participations.

However, due to reciprocity, Chinese nationals are required to show their exhibitor or visitor status upon entry—this excludes German citizens residing in China.

In addition, trade fair participants living in countries that require a visa upon entering Germany will still need to apply for business visas, while employees of exhibiting companies will not be required to pay for visa fees.

Around 30% of the visitors and 60% of the exhibitors come from abroad. A third of the exhibitors come from countries outside Europe. Hence, trade fairs really bring international markets to Germany.
