Green light for productronica 2021

Trade fair events should be possible again in Bavaria by September 1, 2021, at the latest. The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs announced this last week together with Messe München. This means that the world’s leading trade fair for the development and production of electronics can take place as planned from November 16 to 19 in Munich. Companies still have the opportunity to take part in productronica 2021 as an exhibitor.

The face-to-face event next autumn will also have a digital extension in the form of online offers. This means that all industry representatives, regardless of the prevailing framework conditions, have the opportunity to take part in productronica in person or virtually. Falk Senger, Managing Director of Messe München, is optimistic about the industry meeting point in November: “In the past few months, we have worked hard on the safety standards and are now excellently prepared for the new start with an optimal protection and hygiene concept. We look forward to once again personally welcoming numerous exhibitors and visitors to productronica. “

Comprehensive protection and hygiene concept

In close coordination with the responsible authorities, Messe München has developed a comprehensive protection and hygiene concept: In addition to basic provisions such as compliance with the minimum distance, the wearing of FFP2 masks, and the traceability of all participants, this also provides for important new elements. These include the 3G concept: Access to the exhibition grounds is only granted to people who have been proven to have been vaccinated, recovered, or tested. These data can already be entered when registering online. In addition, Messe München is making test capacities available on site. Modern ventilation systems that guarantee a regular and reliable supply of fresh air provide additional protection for exhibitors and visitors in the exhibition halls.

Positive signals from the industry

The current development in the field of electronics development and production gives reason to hope for a successful event in autumn, as Rainer Kurtz, CEO of the Kurtz Ersa Group and chairman of the productronica advisory board, explains: “In the first half of 2021, incoming orders in the industry developed very well. With the decline in the pandemic, the exhibitors expect business to continue to develop positively this year and next. In this respect, productronica 2021 has every chance of being a brilliant reunion for the entire electronics production industry in the world.”

Thilo Brückner, Managing Director of the Electronics, Micro and New Energy Production Technologies (EMINT) trade association at VDMA, has a similar opinion: “As the ideal sponsor of productronica, we are counting on a successful trade fair in November. Personal customer contact and network maintenance are the icings on the cake for a successful trade fair business. This only works in the form of a face-to-face event.”

Over 500 exhibitors registered

Almost five months before the start of the event, more than 500 companies have already confirmed their participation. Among others, leading key players such as ASM Assembly Systems, F&K Delvotec, Komax, as well as Kurtz Ersa, and Rohde & Schwarz will be represented at productronica 2021. Interested companies still have the opportunity to register for the trade fair in November.
