HALAL HANNOVER – Event postponed until September 2020

In response to current developments regarding Covid-19 (the coronavirus), Deutsche Messe is postponing HALAL HANNOVER. The new time for the event is 11–13 September 2020. As Germany’s first halal trade fair ever, the event had originally been scheduled for 6–8 March 2020.

“Because the health of our exhibitors, visitors, employees and the general public is a top priority for Deutsche Messe, we made the decision to switch to the September date. This change is intended to offer our exhibitors the earliest possible date where they can present their halal-compliant goods and services and generate new business,” says Dr. Andreas Gruchow, Member of the Deutsche Messe Managing Board, speaking from the company’s home base in Hannover, Germany.

HALAL HANNOVER represents a new platform for business and professional networking. As a trends-based show for halal-compliant products, the focus is on food and beverages, cosmetics, financial services and travel. The event is rounded off by a three-day conference program, featuring experts from Germany and abroad. While the first day of the trade fair is reserved for trade visitors, the second and third days of the fair are also open to consumers.

“Our thanks go out to all of our exhibitors, whose commitment and trust over the past few months have enabled us to position HALAL HANNOVER in the marketplace,” comments Gruchow. “Sixty national and international companies and more than 40 speakers from different18 nations – that kind of market response makes us highly optimistic about a successful debut event coming up in September.”
