Health and safety news for IFAT Munich participants
According to the current regulations of the Free State of Bavaria, trade fairs can take place. Currently, the VCR regulation applies for exhibitors and 2G plus regulation for visitors. The implementation of the new security regulations is now planned for all upcoming trade fairs. Safe trade fairs are feasible for Messe München even in the pandemic situation.
Due to the current Covid developments in the Free State of Bavaria, new regulations for participation in trade fair events apply with immediate effect. The following changes will apply up to now.
- Admission for visitors only with a 2G+ pass
Trade visitors attending on site in Munich will have to provide proof that they have been either vaccinated or recovered when registering. This is the result of the Bavarian State Government’s requirement (§4), which has been in force since November 11, 2021. Visitors must present a valid negative test as well (rapid antigen test under supervision valid for 24 h / PCR test valid for 48 hours). This additional testing requirement does not apply to visitors who have had their booster vaccination more than 15 days ago.
- 3G concept for exhibitors and service partners
Employees who work for an exhibitor, service partners, service providers of Messe München or for a trade fair construction company are required to present a valid 3G certificate for access to the exhibition centre. Non-vaccinated or recovered persons must present a rapid antigen test or a negative PCR test (rapid antigen test under supervision valid for 24 h / PCR test valid for 48 hours).
- FFP2 masks compulsory on the entire exhibition grounds
In view of the infection protection measures access is only possible with an additional FFP2 mask
- During the entire event, a minimum distance of 1.5 metres must be maintained between persons who do not belong to one’s own household.
