“INTERSCHUTZ is more important today than ever before”

With brand new topics, innovations, and a broad supporting program, INTERSCHUTZ makes Hannover the international “blue light capital” from June 20 to 25, 2022.
INTERSCHUTZ has been providing a framework that urges international discourse and developed solutions dealing with the increasing issues caused by geopolitical challenges, humanitarian crises, and natural disasters caused by climate change.

Conferences, competitions, workshops, and live trainings will be offered by INTERSCHUTZ, the world’s leading trade fair for fire brigades, rescue services, civil protection, and safety/security.
The German Fire Brigades Association (DFV) is also organizing the 29th German Firefighters’ Day alongside INTERSCHUTZ. This will be open to all Hannover citizens and international guests. A “Blue Light Mile” precluded INTERSCHUTZ’s opening on Sunday.

Furthermore, INTERSCHUTZ will also include topics on civil protection. The Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance, together with its partners, will be presenting their pilot project, “Laboratory Care 5,000.” The exhibition will also be showcasing product innovations for vehicle technology. Rosenbauer Group located in Hall 27 will be presenting the world’s first fully electric turntable ladder. The Berlin Fire Brigade will be bringing a Rosenbauer fire truck with an electric drive to Hannover. Also, there will be displays of electric vehicles for emergency command or transport of injured persons.

With more than 130 presentations, visitors will be able to join the CP symposium with different topics each day: Preventive fire protection (Monday), Civil protection and disaster management (Tuesday), Forest fires and firefighting (Wednesday), Digitalization (Thursday) and Rescue services (Friday).

Moreover, Ukraine will also be highlighted on this year’s exhibition. INTERSCHUTZ launched a fundraising campaign to support the war refugees and fire brigades and rescue units in Ukraine. All proceeds of the donations will go to the “Firefighters Aid for Ukraine”.
COVID-related restrictions in Germany have also been lifted—these protocols will apply in the exhibition. Wearing of masks is also not a general requirement but is recommended for personal protection. However, masks are required for public transports.
